INXS Issues Statement About Their Future.
Perth, Western Australia, November 11: It ended fittingly where it began 35 years ago, in Perth, when INXS drummer Jon Farriss declared to a 15,000+ capacity house on the opening weekend of the brand new Perth Arena and the final night of the Matchbox Twenty / INXS Australian tour that from this point INXS would bring down the curtain as a live touring band. In a fitting homage to the band, Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas joined the band (INXS) and vocalist Ciaran Gribbin on stage and performed INXS’s signature closer, “Don’t Change,” in the band’s encore. The remaining band members of INXS, Tim, Andrew and Jon Farriss, Kirk Pengilly and Garry Beers issued this statement. “We understand that this must come as a blow...
Paul McCartney and Wife Narrowly Avoid Helicopter Crash
From The Guardian…. The British Department for Transport is investigating the near crash of a helicopter carrying Paul McCartney and his wife. Officials have apparently spoken to McCartney about the incident earlier this spring, when his pilot became “disorientated” mid-flight. The incident happened when McCartney and Nancy Shevell were returning to their estate in East Sussex in May. Amid “low cloud base, poor visibility and rain”, their 55-year-old pilot apparently lost sight of the helipad and brought the helicopter as close as two feet from tree tops. A transport department report states that the Sikorsky S-76C chopper only narrowly missed the woods, pulling away as the pilot “executed a go-around”. The aircraft landed at a nearby airport. The...
Do You Have a Taste For Some Limited Edition Rolling Stones Whiskey?
Are you looking for something special to buy that Rolling Stones fan in your life? Do you have a nice stack of “F-U” money available? The first question isn’t as important as the second if you’re going to end up owning this extremely limited edition, extremely expensive bottle of whiskey. Japanese bottler Suntory have teamed up with the aging rockers to produce this luxury in honor of their 50th anniversary. Only 150 have been produced and they’ll list for a half-million yen. What’s that in our terms? Just $6,300, that’s all. Look at it this way, it’s only $200 a sip. But hey! You do get a bottle that has the The Rolling Stones signature tongue and...

The Rolling Stones Announce November and December Shows in the UK and USA
It’s only four shows, but four is more than zero. You can’t always get what you want. Sometime you can’t even get what you need. I think we need more than four shows. That’s it for now however. The Rolling Stones have announced just four concerts to celebrate their 50th anniversary. There will be two shows in the UK at London’s 02 Arena on November 25th and 29th. The next two shows will be held December 13th and 15th at The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. ‘‘Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in!’’ Jagger said in a statement. The December 15th show will be available via...
