  Mike Love continues to be a real ass. He personally has ended one of the best rock and roll stories of the summer by dropping three original members from the Beach Boys. The 50th Anniversary tour called Keepin’ the Summer Alive in the UK will be ending this week.  The Beach Boys will continue to tour shortly after however Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks will not be part of it.     East coast music fans will be in for quite the treat this fall as Little Feat has just announced that they had added six shows with the legendary Leon Russell. Mark Knopfler’s New Album “Privateering” Will NOT Be Released In US.

      Mark Knopfler’s facebook page shared some bad news for his US fans today.  Hopefully this will put some pressure on Warner Brothers to work out a deal. Here’s the statement Privateering will not be released in the US. There is a contractual dispute between Mark and Warner Brothers which has resulted in the current situation. The record has been released in all other territories in the world as usual by Universal Music. We are disappointed that Mark’s record won’t be released in the US and if the situation changes an updated statement will be issued. Very many thanks for your continued support. Led Zeppelin to Release Feature Film, DVD of ’07 Reunion, “Celebration Day”

  What a week it has been for Led Zeppelin. It started with a facebook countdown and ended with a simple video announcement. Earlier this week the band began placing unannounced “Countdown” numbers on their facebook page. What did they mean? What actually were they counting down to?? Before we received that answer, which officially came today, we were given another bit of cool Led Zeppelin News.  The bad will be a Kennedy Center Honoree on December 4th.
