Karl Wallinger (World Party) Performs Four Live Tunes for WYEP Radio.
My guess is that the super talented Karl Wallinger is looking forward to a full tour in the spring with a full band version of World Party. Until then he’s doing a small solo tour also billed as World Party. That tour saw him recently land in Pittsburgh, Pa and more specifically WYEP Radio Station. He performed four songs live for their listening audience. They were “Is It Like Today?” “Put The Message In The Box,” “Is It Too Late?” and lastly “Waiting Such a Long Time.” You can hear the four tunes on the station’s website. Here’s a link. Online streaming revenues will grow at almost five times the rate of download revenues in 2012, according to Strategy Analytics’ latest Global Recorded Music Forecast. Streaming revenues will increase 40 percent in 2012 – to $1.1 billion – whilst download revenues will increase by 8.5 percent to $3.9 billion. Therefore, streaming services will take over as the leading revenue growth engine for the music industry in 2012, generating an extra $311 million – $8 million more than downloads at $303 million. Overall digital (including mobile)1 music spending will increase by 17.8 percent ($1.3 billion) in 2012 to $8.6 billion compared to a 12.1 percent decline ($1.9 billion) in packaged sales. REPORT: “Extremely Intoxicated” Randy Travis Hospitalized After Fight In Church Parking Lot.
Please, it’s time to get this man some help. TMZ is reporting that Randy Travis has found himself in trouble again, and yes, alcohol once again appears at the center of the problem. In this case Travis was cited for simple assault, a Class C misdemeanor. For the third time this year he has been arrested or cited for a drinking related incident. This time is was an early-morning fight with a man in a church parking lot where he was described to be “extremely intoxicated.” Police also referred to him as being “the aggressor” in the altercation.
