Bruce Springsteen Announces Jake Clemons, Clarence’s Nephew as New Tour Member.

  Well it sounds like Bruce Springsteen has come up with what might be the best answer as to how he’s going to “replace” Clarence Clemons in upcoming E Street Band tour. He’s announced today the “replacement” will be none other than Jake Clemons., Clarence’s nephew. Jake previously has done some work with The Swell Season. He’ll actually be sharing the spot with a few others.  Bruce has decided to bring along a five piece horn section for the Wrecking Ball tour.   Ed Manion,  a member of Southside Johnny’s band The Asbury Jukes will also play some sax. Ringo announces 2012 All-Starr Band Members and Tour Dates.

  Ringo Starr, fresh off the release of his new album 2012, has announced the lineup for this year’s All-Starr Band. Todd Rundgren will once again be along.  Todd was also part of the 1992 and 1999 tours.  Toto’s Steve Lukather will be making his first appearance. Bass duties will be handled by Richard Page of The Pages and Mr. Mister fame. Page also was a member of the band last year. Greg Rolie of Journey and Santana will lend his voice and keyboard talents to the project.  This will be his first go around. Completing the band will be Mark Rivera on sax and Gregg Bissonette on drums. Bissonette once played with Spinal Tap and should be congratulated...

Adam Lambert to Perform One Show With Queen This Summer.

      MONDAY, Feb 20th UPDATE: Now Adam Lambert is indeed confirming that he will be fronting Queen, however, it appears that there will not be a tour. It will be a one-off at the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth Park in England. The  date is July 7th. It was the site of Freddy Mercury’s final performance with the band in 1986. Lambert adds.. “As many suspected, I can finally confirm: I have been invited by Queen to sing one very special concert! Sonisphere at Knebworth July 7th!” Lambert tweeted this afternoon. “Sorry to be coy about the details the past few weeks, but I made a promise to keep it under wraps as best I could.   It appears that the planned and scheduled Black Sabbath reunion tour for 2012 has hit what may be a major snag. No, it wouldn’t cause a cancellation of the tour, but it would mean that not all four original members may be in tow. The official tour announcement was originly made on 11-11-11 and the video can be seen below.   So did you catch the David Letterman show on Monday, January 30th? If you did, you saw the network debut of Paul and the late Linda McCartney’s son James.  Here’s the appearance.   Looking for some new Wilco? Today, January 24th, Wilco has released what is being called, the iTunes Session.  The session was recorded in their Chicago area loft this past December. It includes new takes on songs not just from their most recent album The Whole Love, but from their past as well. The eighth entry should be quite popular in this download only release.
