AC/DC Plans Tour and New Album to Celebrate 40th Anniversary
Brian Johnson, lead singer for the ‘Back in Black’ rockers ‘ which also includes brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd – said they are set to get together to see “how we’re feeling” about moving forward with the band, though he admitted they never like to work to deadlines. He said: “I’m going to see the boys and we’ll probably have a little pow wow and a chat to see how we’re feeling. We never ever say, ‘We’re going in the studio January next year,’ if you do that you’re straight under pressure, and we’ve never worked like that. “We’ve always been very easy going. We’re like migrating birds, we smell the air and scratch...

Mick Jagger Forms New Supergroup Called “Super Heavy”
Mick Jagger has reportedly formed a supergroup called Super Heavy with Joss Stone, Damian Marley, Eurythmics‘ Dave Stewart and the Oscar-winning musician and producer behind the score for Slumdog Millionaire, A.R. Rahman. An unnamed source told the New York Post that Super Heavy “Just finished a record and their first video and are talking to major labels about a deal.” Another unnamed reports that, “Each member has a very distinct and different style, but it works. Mick has been recording with Dave for a while, and both worked with Joss in the past.” Although it has been reported the group have made a music promo, Jagger insists they haven’t looked that far ahead yet. The legendary rocker claims he...
Keith Richards Confirms New “X-Pensive Winos” Album in the Works
We’re you hoping for a new Rolling Stones album this year, or early next? Well, that’s not going to happen according to Keith Richards. However, there is some very good news as Keith confirmed on the Jimmy Fallon show that he does plan a new X-Pensive Winos album. This would be their third following 1988’s Talk is Cheap and 1992’s Main Offender. When asked about him trying to get the Stones together, he told Fallon “I’m trying to nail them down but I don’t want to crucify them, if you know what I mean.” Actually Keith, I don’t know what that means, but I get the idea. He did say that he and Winos’ drummer Steve Jordan have already been...
The Cars hit the Road for First Time in 23 Years.
The Cars have begun their first tour since 1988. They’ve done a few shows so I’m guessing people would love to know what tunes they’re doing. I love reading set lists! I always hated, years ago, opening up a newspaper to read a review and not getting hardly any information on what they played. I’ve read some where at most, three songs were mentioned. If you’re like me, they number one question I always had was, “What did they play?” The last time they played Los Angeles was 1987 according to Greg Hawkes. They make their return as a quartet as bassist / vocalist Benjamin Orr lost his fight against pancreatic cancer in 2000. A substantial loss indeed. Here’s what...
David Gilmour, Nick Mason Join Roger Waters on “The Wall”
Yes, it was only a one-off. At least that’s what all parties are saying at this point. However, that won’t stop us from enjoying a 3/4 Pink Floyd reunion for at least one night. A while back, David Gilmour lost a bet. He lost, we won. To pay up, he had to join Roger Waters for one night on Waters’ highly successful tour of “The Wall.” That night would be last night in London at the 02 Arena. We didn’t expect Nick Mason to be there as well. How lucky a cool for the 02 crowd. David did his soaring solo in “Comfortable Numb” as expected. He did it high on the wall as in the past. They also...
