The Church Perform ‘Starfish’ in its Entirety as it Marks its 25th Anniversary. Watch it Here

    2013 marks the 25th anniversary of the great album Starfish from the Australian band The Church.   Mavis Staples, Elton John, Mumfords and more to pay tribute to Levon Helm at the Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy has announced that the show this coming Sunday will feature a special performance to honor Levon Helm. It will include a presentation of The Band’s “The Weight” by Mavis Staples, Elton John, T Bone Burnett, Zac Brown and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes. Jimmy Vaughan Recovering From Heart Attack.

  Jimmy Vaughan has been forced to cancel at least one upcoming show after suffering a heart attack last week. The canceled show was to he held February 16th, at the Mahindra Blues Festival in Mumbia, India. The festival made a statement on their website: “Jimmie Vaughan was admitted to Pomona Hospital Medical Center on January 23rd, 2013 with an acute myocardial infraction (heart attack). He had a coronary angioplasty and stent placement.   Since Stevie Van Zandt’s filming commitments to his highly successful television show Lilyhammer will keep him off stage for the upcoming Australian tour dates, Bruce Springsteen has invited Tom Morello to sit in temporarily on guitar.  Following the Australian dates, Van Zandt will return to the tour in Oslo, Norway on April 29, 2013.
