Bob Dylan Recording New Album

We don’t have many details, in fact, we hardly have any.  But that won’t lessen our enjoyment of knowing that Bob Dylan has been in the studio recording for some time.

Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo let the news slip recently in an interview with the Aspen Times. Hidalgo explained the he had been working with the Hall of Fame songwriter adding guitar and accordion to the project being recorded in Los Angeles at a Studio owned by Jackson Browne.

Hidalgo also worked with Dylan on the 2009 Holiday-themed album Christmas Through The Heart.  Bob Dylan’s last studio album of original material was Together Through Life released earlier that same year.

We do not have a title, nor a release date as of yet. We do know that Dylan will begin a South American tour April 15th in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. The tour is only 10 dates long and concludes on April 30th. At this time there are no scheduled shows after that date.

The new album will be his 35th studio recording.
