Bee Gee Robin Gibb Has Died. He was 62.
Bee Gee Robin Gibb has passed away at the age of 62. His death was confirmed today by a family spokesperson. He had been battling colon and liver cancer for over two years.
Here is their statement: “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”
Mr. Gibb was born on The Isle of Man before moving firstly to Manchester, England and eventually Brisbane, Australia.
He would form the Bee Gees with his brothers Maurice and Barry. Another brother, Andy was also a recording musician. Andy passed away in 1988 and twin brother Maurice in 2003.
