I’ve mentioned a few times before that my tastes have really been leaning towards the ‘Americana’ genre for quite some time now. What can be better than ‘Americana’ with a little ‘Tex-Mex’ added to spice it up a little!
Los Lobos have been around steadily for well over thirty five years now. It’s a real testament to the band to see that their latest album, 2010’Tin Can Trust has the same line-up that recorded this 1984 release. Not to mention some before that as well. Los Lobo’s music is as timely now as it was in 1984. How Will the Wolf Survive? is a tribute to many of the immigrants that live amongst us, working hard and trying to make it to the next day.
It peaked at #47 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
‘Will The Wolf Survive’ peaked at #78 on the Billboard Hop 100 Singles chart.
Rolling Stone Magazine ranked How Will the Wolf Survive #461 on its listing of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
