“Cool Album of the Day” announces “Whale Wednesday.”

What? What the heck is he thinking now?

Here’s the idea. By now you see that variety is important to our site. We bring in all types of music, hard rock, country, reggae, fusion etc.   Part of the idea being that we’d like to see the metal fan introduced to the Jean Luc Pontys and we’d like to see Bob Marley fan introduced to the Merle Haggards, etc.

In trying to stay a little esoteric and eclectic, I think we have been neglecting one area. An area that we think should be represented. Just not Every.  Single.  Day.  Like many web sites tend to do.

Which area is this? Well quite simply THE BIGGIES!  I feel that to be as well rounded as we should be that I want to also include, but just once a week, the big selling albums.  I’ve been reluctant to add them in the past.  We still haven’t had a Beatles album! But they should be here. As should Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, etc.

So now, on Tuesday’s at Midnight eastern time (Going into Wednesday morning), we’ll be posting a ‘big time’ album or a ‘whale’ as we’re going to call them.  However, it will still be an album that we consider ‘Cool.’ That part of our deal won’t be going away.  We’ll still stay within our eclectic roots.
