Today’s Cool Album of the Day (#212 in the Series) is Elton John and Leon Russell, The Union. This was one of the most anticipated albums of 2010. Like many of these special projects that T. Bone Burnett over sees, it did not disappoint. Many looked at this album as a long time payback by Elton John to Leon Russell for help he provided to enhance his popularity at the beginning of Elton’s career.  Elton has also been quoted as saying that Leon was his main influence as a pianist.
