Lou Reed Has Died at Age 71. Agent Confirms Previous Report.

Rolling Stone Magazine is reporting that Lou Reed has died at age 71.  No cause of death has been given at this time. He did receive a liver transplant in May and was hospitalized a few months later for severe dehydration.

We will update the story as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: Mr. Reed’s literary agent Andrew Wylie has now confirmed the death and claims it is related to his liver illness.
